PowerSWITCH supports JavaScript (on both platforms), AppleScript (on Mac OS X) and Visual Basic Scripting (on Windows). Intelligent workflows take advantage of the metadata stored within documents to make routing decisions or to set processing parameters for automated tasks. PowerSWITCH can read incoming metadata in XML, XMP and JDF. SWITCHclient allows any user to submit files and track their progress through the flow, including inspecting and releasing files or making routing decisions at checkpoints. The workflow administrator can determine access rights and keep an eye on all jobs. PowerSWITCH activity logs can be accessed through the workgroup client as well.
