TCP (Transmission Control Protocol)
TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) is one of the two core protocols used in Data Communications, the second core protocol being IP. Part of the Internet Protocol Suite (often referred to as TCP/IP), TCP is a transport layer responsible for higher-level operations. It provides reliable, ordered delivery of data packets between two locations and can also offer management services such as controlling message size, network congestion and rate of exchange.
