Technical Support Engineer

Pro2col are looking for a bilingual Technical Support Engineer with a background in hardware and software support and a minimum of 1 year’s experience in the field.

Fluent spoken English and German is required as this role will be working alongside our German Office, providing support to both English and German customers.

Daily Activities will Include;

Responsible for ensuring a high level of customer service; building and maintaining relationships with clients.
Liaising with clients to provide a proactive and resourceful approach to support and technical problem resolution via E-Mail, phone and occasionally site visits
Identify and correct or advise on operational issues in client computer systems
Onsite and remote configuration and installation of client’s hardware and software solutions
Building and testing hardware, prior to the end product being sent out to clients
Provide training to clients in the use of File Transfer Solutions
Perform light lifting - 15kgs maximum

Personal Qualities/ Skills Required;

The ideal candidate will be technically astute, possess great attention to detail and have a keen interest in IT and current solutions/technologies
Have strong diagnostic capabilities and installation skills, with experience of providing technical support and some hardware experience.
Some Linux command line experience, firewall configuration and IP networking would be an added advantage.
Be highly organised and reliable with good communication and documentation skills
Excellent English (Oral and Written) with fluency in the spoken German language
Proficient in Internet related applications such as E-Mail clients, FTP clients and Web Browsers
Willingness to learn new systems and skills

Permanent Position, Monday–Friday 9am-5.30pm

Wage 16-20K (depending on experience)

Field Support Engineer

Pro2col are looking for a Field Support Engineer to provide office based and mobile support to our new and existing client base.

We are a small friendly team, and as a result the successful candidate must be able to work well as a teamplayer and also have good motivational skills as you will be expected to manage some of your own time during the working day.

Daily Activities will Include;

Technical incident management; including processing support tickets, troubleshooting problems reported by clients and providing on site support on an ad hoc basis.
Onsite and remote configuration and installation of client’s hardware and software solutions.
Providing onsite and remote product training in the use of Pro2col's products
Pro-active server monitoring and reporting
Back up monitoring and reporting
Building and testing hardware, prior to the end product being sent out to clients
Perform light lifting 15kgs maximum

Personal Qualities/ Skills Required;

A Full UK Driving Licence
Good working knowledge of Internet related applications such as E-Mail clients, FTP clients and Web Browsers
Thorough understanding of router, firewall, switches and network support
Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical users
Ability to prioritise tasks whilst maintaining a clear customer focused approach
Eagerness to problem solve client queries relating to our File Transfer Solutions
Pro-active attitude and keen to learn new technologies and grow with the business
