IT Sales Executive

Job Purpose

Starting ASAP Pro2col has a vacancy for a Sales Executive working from our Bournemouth office (BH6 3JX).  The position will focus on the sale of Managed File Transfer, and Data Loss Prevention solutions to companies as diverse as SME's to multi-national organisations.

Full product and industry training will be provided on the job, ideally the applicant will have a good level of technical knowledge and more essentially, previous experience within a technical sales role.

The role involves following the sales process from start to finish, seeking new business, booking appointments, attending appointments, account management and closing sales.

Identifying new customers will be achieved by cold calling both contacts within our internal client database as well as from your own research and initiative (e.g. online directories, industry forums, LinkedIn, Jigsaw and media etc).   Leads will also be provided via our marketing activities.

Although advertised as a Sales Executive position, it is expected that the successful candidate will help build the sales team and potentially progress to a managerial role.
 

Daily activities will include:
  • Telephoning existing and prospective customers.
  • Making appointments with relevant decision makers.
  • Research around companies when appointments have been made.  Who are they, what they do, where they operate etc.
  • Attending customer sites for appointments.
  • Keeping internal client databases up to date with correct information and notes.
  • Following up prospects where in a tender process to understand the clients thoughts and decision making criteria.  Addressing or escalating any objectives.
  • Closing business.


Key skills / attributes

  • Experienced in Business to Business sales.
  • Previous experience in IT sales is essential, whilst a knowledge of security technologies would be an advantage.
  • Ability to build relationships and close business.
  • Self disciplined and motivated.
  • Team player
  • Driven
  • Excellent communicator

 
Salary – Basic starting at £20k (dependent upon experience) OTE £ unlimited

Hours - 9am - 5.30pm, Monday to Friday

Based in BH6 3JX
